Crazy weather

We have been having the worst (coldest and wettest) summer in 30 years. This doesn't mean that it is cathastrophic, we have had no floods or things like that. It means that the weather is like it used to be 30 years ago, when I was a child.

The last 6 years we have had the worst summers in my opinion:no rain, only hotter and hotter months, with temperatures going everyday over 30ºC. Not to mention this "winter", when we haven't turned the heathing on but two days! No winter has been so hot in about 150 years or so.

I don't know if the weather is changing or not, but the general impression is that it is, and for the worse: hotter means less water, more draughts and more energy wastage to refrigerate homes and food supplies. Too bad: this year it is Eastern Europe, with special ferocity in Greece (more than 50 dead due to the fires) but last year it was Spain, with record surface burnt in Galicia and about 5 killed. Well then, there were hints of political "burned land" strategy for the new left wing State Government, but that is another story...

If you ask me, we have been breaking too many recods for any good. It's an ill wind that brings nobody no good.

So there goes a photo of the rain in my street. Wonderful.
